Drawing in Motion
Special exhibition of the MUT from August 20 to October 3, 2022.
Japanese light artist Takehito Koganezawa was the fourth Invited Artist at the University of Tübingen in the summer of 2022. He represents a completely new conception of drawing: moving, ephemeral, intangible. Realizing this form with students in a workshop turned out to be a highly complex undertaking—capturing the results and making them visible in a public presentation is the goal of this exhibition at Schloss Hohentübingen.
In his work, Koganezawa focuses on drawing with light, especially in underground spaces. The exhibitions shows what he organized with the students in catacombs, cellar rooms and the Eiszeithöhle Vogelherd.
Furthermore, "Drawing in Motion" is accompanied by a publication of the same name from MUT's Invited Artist series.
Publikation
As with the previous Invited Artist exhibitions, a accompanying publication was released: "Drawing in Motion. Invited Artist Takehito Koganezawa" presents the project, the workshop, the exhibition and the works created. Koganezawa and his participants offer personal insight into their work process and the mutual exchange.
